A man has been charged in connection with using counterfeit notes in Aberdeen.
A number of incidents involving fake cash were reported in and around the city centre in August and September.
Officers have confirmed a 33-year-old man has been charged, he is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court later today.
Sergeant Doug MacKay of the city centre community policing team said: “Deliberately making, possessing and attempting to use counterfeit currency is a serious offence and we will thoroughly investigate any instances reported to us.
“If you suspect you have received a counterfeit note or you have any concerns we would urge you to contact police on 101.”
