A man who travelled to Aberdeen from London carrying more than £110,000 of crack cocaine has pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of drugs.
Jamie Lewis, 31, jogged away from police officers who wanted to speak to him in connection with another matter, the High Court in Edinburgh heard.
Officers smelled cannabis from Lewis as he tried to outrun them in Aberdeen’s Oldmill Road on April 24.
Lewis, who has previous convictions for supplying drugs, was caught nearby and officers placed him under arrest.
He was found to be carrying drugs which had a maximum street value of £110,400.
The 31-year-old, originally of London but currently on remand at HMP Grampian, pleaded guilty yesterday to being involved in the supply of drugs.
Judge Lord Armstrong deferred sentence on Lewis and ordered a report into his character be presented to the court.
He will be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on August 17.
