One man has been arrested and eight vehicles seized after a major police operation on the A90.
Officers in Aberdeenshire and Tayside stopped more than 150 cars on the A90 as part of a weekend crackdown.
Eight vehicles were seized, a man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and controlled drugs were recovered by officers.
Around 100 road traffic offences were spotted during the operation, which covered the A90 from Fraserburgh to Perth.
Road Policing Sergeant Steve Manson, who led the operation, said: “This type of route enforcement on a large scale is now becoming a regular tactic and will continue over the course of the year.
“The A90 is a key route in the north east and regularly features in our collision statistics.
“By providing a large presence on a single route over a 130-mile stretch of road, our goal is to influence driver and road user behaviour, reduce road casualties and detect and deter all types of criminality on our roads.”
