A north-east man was airlifted to hospital after being found unconscious following an attack by a cow.
Emergency services including police officers, fire crews and paramedics were called to the Upper Benwells Farm in Maud at 7.15am yesterday.
A 60-year-old man was reported to be unconscious after being attacked by the cow.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We got the call at 7.15am yesterday that a 60-year-old man was found unconscious after possibly being attacked by a cow.
“A helimed was arranged for him and he was taken to hospital.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman added: “We received the call from the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“We sent one appliance to the scene, we were there assisting the ambulance staff.”
He is thought to have suffered serious injuries, but last night was reported to be in a “stable condition.”
