A man has admitted driving on a North-east road while more than four times over the legal limit for alcohol.

Viktoras Volodka, 44, drove a van on the A90 near Scotston, Laurencekirk, while over the limit on Wednesday.

He appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday over the offence.

He pleaded guilty to driving after having consumed so much alcohol that the proportion of it on his breath was 105 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 22 microgrammes.
