A man has admitted breaking in and stealing goods from two parked cars in a North-east town.
Frederick McDonald was charged after police launched an investigation in Peterhead earlier this week.
The 36-year-old appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court yesterday charged with forcing his way into the vehicles in Ugie Road and Dickie Drive on Monday and stealing a handbag and reverse-viewing camera.
McDonald, whose address was given in court papers as Churchill Drive, Peterhead, pleaded guilty to both charges.
Sentence was deferred until later this month.
It comes after police issued a warning to motorists to keep valuables locked away.
Dc Gary Johnston said: “We are grateful to members of the public for their assistance while inquiries were carried out.
“We continue to urge residents to ensure that their property is locked at all times and that valuables are not left within vehicles.”
