A MAN has appeared in court in Aberdeen today charged with attempted murder following an alleged attack in a pub.
Two men appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the alleged incident, at the Market Bar in Stonehaven.
A 42-year-old man was allegedly assaulted on Wednesday night and taken to ARI with serious head injuries.
Keir Agnew, 32, of New Stevenson, Lanarkshire, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged with assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.
Meanwhile James Burns, 43, of Coatbridge, also appeared in private charged with assault.
The pair made no plea or declaration during their appearance.
The case against them was committed for further examination.
Both men were granted bail.
No further dates were set for future appearances.
