A man has appeared in court charged with assault with intent to rape.
The appearance follows after an incident on George Street in the early hours of Saturday morning where a woman was attacked.
An inquiry was launched by police who said the woman was not injured, but was left “shaken”.
Andrew Conway, 34, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged in connection with the incident.
Conway, of Aberdeen, is facing a charge of assault with intent to rape as well as being accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
He made no plea, the case was committed for further examination and he was remanded in custody.
