A man has been charged in connection with an alleged indecent assault involving a woman in a North-east town.
The alleged incident happened on Tannery Street in Banff on Wednesday, March 1.
A 34-year-old man was expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today.
Detective Sergeant Rhona Di Meola, who led the investigation, said: “Police Scotland would like to thank the public for all assistance provided to officers during this inquiry.”
She added: “Inquiries are still ongoing and I would urge any member of the public who has any further information and hasn’t already spoken to police to contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.
“In particular we would still like to speak to a man who was in the area at the time and stopped to provide assistance.”
