North-east man, 32, admits drink driving

A man has admitted getting behind the wheel while more than three times the alcohol limit.

Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard it was Michael Keith’s third conviction for the offence in a 10-year period.

Keith, 32, admitted driving on the B979 Blackburn to Fintray road with 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the limit is 22mcgs – on December 22.

Keith was seen by police driving at 10.10pm with “obvious damage” to his car.

He was stopped by police and a breath test was carried out.

Sentence on Keith, whose address was given as Bridge Street, Strichen, was deferred until next month.
