A man remains in a critical condition while a woman is recovering from serious injuries after a North-east crash.
The smash happened on an unclassified route near Delgatie Castle, Turriff, on New Year’s Day.
Police today confirmed a 30-year-old man, who was driving a black Citroen C2, is still in a critical condition following the collision.
A woman, 42, who was a passenger in a red Volkswagen Golf, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a critical condition.
But police confirmed she has since moved to a serious condition.
An 18-year-old woman, who was also a passenger in the Volkswagen, sustained a serious leg injury but is in a stable condition at ARI.
The other three occupants of the car sustained minor injuries.
Sergeant Colin Matheson said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who may have seen the incident and has not yet spoken to police to please come forward with any information.
“Likewise anyone who may have seen either vehicle in the time leading up to the collision should also get in touch with Police on 101 as we try to piece together exactly what happened.”
