Second man charged in Aberdeen ram raid investigation

The alleged ram raid happened in the Murcar Industrial Estate

A 29-year-old man has become the second person to be charged in connection with an alleged ram raid at an Aberdeen building depot.

Police this afternoon confirmed that the man was arrested in connections with incidents in  Peterhead and the Bridge of Don and Dyce areas of the city last Thursday.

An 18-year-old man has already been arrested and charged and was expected to appear at court today.

Inquiries have been ongoing following an alleged break-in at a business in Denmore Road in the Murcar Industrial Estate, and a further incident involving a police vehicle at Glenhome Gardens.

Detective Inspector David Howieson, who has been leading enquiries, said: “I would like to thank the countless members of the public once again who have been in touch with information.
