Police have named the 30-year-old man who died after being struck by a car in Aberdeen this morning.
Michal Rafal Podgorski, from Kincorth, died following the incident which involved a grey Renault Megane on the A947 between Stoneywood Roundabout and Mugiemoss Road this morning at around 12.30am.
Sergeant Rob Warnock, from Inverurie Divisional Road Policing Unit, said: “First and foremost our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Michal.
“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the crash or who may have seen the vehicle or Michal shortly beforehand and who hasn’t yet spoken with Police to do so to help us piece together exactly what happened.”
Anyone with information who hasn’t yet come forward should contact Police Scotland on 101.
The incident happened at around 12.30am on the A947 between the Stoneywood roundabout and Mugiemoss Road and involved a grey Renault Megane.
The road was closed in both directions this morning while accident investigators examined the scene, but police have said it has now reopened.
