Work has started on £140,000 of upgrades on a major road.
A section of the A90 northbound carriageway near Laurencekirk will be resurfaced overnight all next week.
Road workers will start at 7.30pm and work until 6.30am, with the scheme scheduled to be complete by Saturday.
A 10mph convoy will be in place during the project, with the A937 Laurencekirk junction closed to both northbound and southbound traffic while works are taking place in the area of the junction.
Andy Thompson, Bear Scotland’s north-east representative, said: “This £140,000 investment from Transport Scotland will greatly improve this section of the A90 by removing existing carriageway defects and replacing old high friction anti-skid, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
“We thank motorists for their patience.”
