A north-east woman is gearing up to take on a 1,000-mile bike challenge for two charities.
Louise Cruickshank, 34, will take on her Tour O’ Scotland cycling effort on September 15, raising funds for Kayleigh’s Wee Stars and Clan Cancer Support.
She will stop off in Aberdeen, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Duns, Dumfries, Ayr, Inveraray, Oban and Inverness.
She was first inspired to take on a cycling challenge at the first Deloitte Ride Across Britain in 2010.
Louise, who lives in Fisherford, is also organising a ball for the charities in Inverurie later this year.
She said: “I have been keen to do something like this for a long time so it’s exciting to finally be setting off soon.”
