A scheme which provides emergency response for those suffering from cardiac arrest has won a top award.
The Sandpiper Wildcat team scooped the gong at the Pride of Aberdeen awards at a ceremony at the city’s beach ballroom.
The initiative is funded by The Sandpiper Trust and supported by Scottish Ambulance, Resuscitation Research Group and BASICS Scotland, which focuses on saving lives in the Grampian area by responding to out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.
The project picked up a Blue Light Hero accolade. Keri Fickling, Sandpiper Wildcat’s project manager, said: “It is an honour to have received this award.”
