Emergency sewer repair work will see a lane of a busy city centre street close from this weekend.
Union Street, between its junctions with Rose Street and Chapel Street, will shut to allow the safe excavation of the road surface where the sewer is located.
The work, which is being undertaken by contractor Kier on behalf of Scottish Water, will begin on Saturday and will last for around eight days.
A loading bay will be in place on Bon Accord Terrace for the duration of the work to mitigate any impact to local businesses.

A Scottish Water spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience while our team carries out this work to ensure the waste water network can continue to serve our customers in the area and protect the local environment.
“We appreciate this is a busy part of Union Street and our contractor has planned the work carefully to minimise disruption.
“The central position and significant depth of the sewer within the road means that a lane closure is unavoidable to complete these essential repairs safely.
“The site team will do all they can to ensure this work is completed as quickly as possible.
“We would like to thank customers and motorists for their patience.”
