Work on a section of the A90 will continue tonight with a 10mph convoy system and lane closures planned.
The £105,000 improvements are being carried out on the northbound carriageway between North Water Bridge and Stracathro.
Works began last night, and will continue between 7.30pm and 6.30am for the rest of the week.
Bear Scotland has said there will “be lane closures and a 10mph convoy traffic management system in place each night. All traffic management will be removed outwith working hours”.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north-east representative said: “This £105,000 investment from Transport Scotland will seal any open joints and cracks on this section of the A90, helping to create a safer road surface for motorists.
“The traffic management is essential to ensure the safety of both our workforce as well as road users however, we’ve taken steps to minimise disruption for motorists as much as possible during the improvements, including working at night and by removing all traffic management during the day.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance while our teams work to carry out these essential works on this stretch of the A90.
“We encourage road users to plan their journey in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for real time journey information and leaving some extra time to reach their destination.”
