A number of investors have bid for a recently opened coffee drive-thru.
They have been competing for the Starbucks by the Blackburn roundabout on the A96.
The coffee giant currently has a long-term lease for the premises, and investors are looking to cash in on its success.
Dave Macleod, of FG Burnett who acted on behalf of South Fornet Estates, said: “We had eight bids at the closing date from investors across the UK, testimony to their belief in a sector which is growing quickly, both in terms of existing operators and new entrants.
“The combination of international tenants and long leases is a compelling one for private investors and the strength of the bidding reflected that.
“Our client has two further development sites available at Westpark and we believe that these will prove attractive to complementary uses.”
The facility opened at the start of October and created a total of 18 jobs.
It was welcomed by councillors in the area who said it would attract business from locals as well as passing commuters.
