Stagecoach is to carry out an internal investigation over claims a visually impaired man was forced off an Aberdeen bus because the driver wouldn’t accept his guide dog.
Colin Clarke, 30, and his labradoodle Vicky attempted to get on the 59 service from Guild Street to Torry on Friday – but the pair were told to get off by the driver because another passenger has already boarded with a dog.
Mr Clarke, a trained paracyclist targeting selection for Tokyo 2020, said: “It made me feel angry, it was embarrassing.
“It’s not my fault, but it made me feel less human.
“Stagecoach needs to make sure drivers know the law.”
A Stagecoach spokesman said: “We are deeply concerned to hear about this incident.
“We will be carrying out a full investigation.”
