
Balaclava-clad thieves broke into a north-east transport firm and stole 500 litres of fuel.
Officers are investigating the theft of diesel from the Robert Addison Haulage’s premises in Torphins.
The theft is thought to have occurred between 9pm and 10pm on Tuesday.
A post on Robert Addison’s Facebook page said: “Three people wearing balaclavas and driving a dark coloured estate car stole approximately 500 litres of fuel from two of our lorries.”

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The value of the diesel taken is estimated to be worth a three-figure sum of money.
“Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0413 of 24 April.”
She added that police could only verify a vehicle has entered the premises, but were unsure how many people were involved and what they were wearing.
