POLICE were today investigating an alleged assault at a council headquarters.
The incident involved two Aberdeenshire Council employees at Woodhill House the council’s base on Westburn Road in Aberdeen.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We are aware of a complaint of a minor assault and inquiries are ongoing.”
The assault is alleged to have happened on Wednesday morning.
A spokeswoman for Aberdeenshire Council said: “We are aware of an alleged minor incident involving two members of staff. We will be conducting our own internal investigation into the matter and are currently supporting the police with their inquiry.
“As such, we are unable to provide any further comment at this time.”
