Police are on the hunt for two men after a shop was raided in Aberdeen.
Officers were called to the Spar on North Deeside Road in Peterculter at 2.15am.
Police believe the two men travelled to the shop using a black Q5 which was stolen from the Ury Meadows area of Inverurie.
But the vehicle was not used to smash through the shop.
Alcohol worth approximately £1,000 was stolen during the incident.
The area has been cordoned off following the raid, which involved a large window being smashed.
The shop is closed to the public.
Forensic teams arrived at the scene just before 9am to carry out their investigation.
Detective Constable Emma Low, who is investigating the incident, said officers are looking at CCTV in the area in a bid to catch the culprits.
She said: “At this stage of the investigation, we are concentrating on the collection and viewing of CCTV footage, conducting house to house enquiries and forensic examinations are being undertaken.
“I would remind owners of vehicles to make sure they keep their vehicles locked when not being used and that they remove all valuable items and where supplied by the manufacturer, they remove any emergency keys supplied with their vehicles.
“I would urge any member of the public who believes they have information relating to these crimes to contact Police Scotland on 101, or alternatively they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
