Snack time at an Aberdeen nursery is relaxed and sociable, inspectors said.
Monitors from the Care Inspectorate watchdog visited Summers Nursery on Victoria Street, Aberdeen, on January 31 and have now published their report.
The nursery can look after up to 65 children at any one time and inspectors rated it “very good” for care, support and environment – the second best of six possible ratings.
“Children’s health and wellbeing was promoted during snack and meal times,” the report said.

It added: “We observed these times to be relaxed, sociable experiences, with the pace dictated by each child’s individual needs.
“Staff joined in with children’s conversations, supporting the development of children’s social skills and language development.
“They praised and encouraged the children, which helped them to feel safe, protected and included.”
