Staff at an Aberdeen nursery have been praised for their attentiveness to children’s needs, according to inspectors.
Monitors from the Care Inspectorate watchdog visited Cove Bay Kindergarten on Cove Road on March 8 and have now published their report.
The centre can look after up to 63 children aged under five and inspectors rated it “good” for care, support and staffing – the third best of six possible ratings – and “adequate” for management, leadership and the environment, the fourth-best rating.
“We found staff to be responsive to children’s needs and to be providing a nurturing environment for babies,” the report said.
“We found there was a good variety of resources inside including real-world toys.
“Children were having great fun playing on the balance bikes.”
