Crafts, board games and special guests entertain residents at an Aberdeen care home, inspectors said.
Monitors from the Care Inspectorate watchdog visited Northcote Lodge Care Home on Craigton Road, Aberdeen, on October 24 and have now published their report.
The home provides care for up to 60 older people and inspectors rated it “very good” – the second best of six possible ratings.
“There was lots of very good feedback around the range of activities to choose from,” said the report.
It added: “This included lots of in-house activities including craft sessions, board games and visiting entertainers.
“There were regular bus trips out and local walks. This enhanced people’s feelings of wellbeing.
“Dining rooms were presented very nicely and residents could choose to have meals there or in their bedroom.”
