HUNDREDS of properties in the North-east were left without power after strong winds brought down overhead lines.
More than 300 properties across the AB32 post code, including homes and businesses in Dunecht, Elrick, Carnie and Garlogie were cut off around noon yesterday.
Engineers were called to the scene and power was fully restored by around 1.30pm.
Meanwhile, two further overhead lines were torn down by the strong winds.
Power to properties in Ellon, Tarves and Newburgh was cut off for around four hours, while customers in Banff, Alva and Cornhill were left without power for six hours when an overhead line was blown down in the Deer Park area.
