A reality TV star is set to bring his charms to Aberdeen, and lucky students could be in with a chance to get up close and personal with the celebrity.
Union Square shopping mall will welcome Made in Chelsea star, confectionery business owner and heir to the McVitie’s fortune, Jamie Laing, later this year as part of the centre’s Student Sessions event.
On May 2, students of Aberdeen are invited to the centre to take advantage of shopping discounts of 35%, as well as a 50% reduction on food, while the evening offers live music and entertainment, complete with a chance to meet the candy connoisseur.
Jamie, 29, first arrived on our screens when he joined the cast of Made in Chelsea – a reality television series chronicling the lives of affluent young people living in West London and South West areas of Belgravia, Kings Road and Knightsbridge.
After joining in season two, Jamie has gone on to star in many other programmes such as Celebrity First Dates, Celebrity Hunted and Drunk History, as well as an appearance in Hollyoaks.
The star has been taking part in this year’s The Great British Bake Off celebrity special in aid of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer, along with fellow famous faces Ruth Davidson, Alan Carr and Stacey Solomon.
Union Square marketing manager Lynne McInnes said: “We’re thrilled to have Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing at Student Sessions.
“Jamie is known for his trademark cheeky charm, so I’m sure Aberdeen’s students will jump at the chance to meet him.
“Alongside our celebrity guest, we have mega discounts, freebies and cheesy hits being spun by local DJs.
“With a whole host of activities and prizes on the evening, this is shaping up to be our best Student Sessions yet.”
Students can be in with a chance to get up close and personal with the TV personality via the centre’s PLUS app, along with the advantage of free goodie bags with purchases from Boux Avenue and The Perfume Shop, as well as sampling from selected restaurants.”
Students are encouraged to download the PLUS app for more information.
