Houses have been vandalised with paint in a North-east town.
Officers are appealing for information after seven homes in the Waulkmill Grove area of Elgin were targeted.
The incident happened at about 10.30pm on Saturday where fences had paint sprayed on them.
Investigating officer, Constable Gemma Low from the Elgin local policing team, said: “Seven houses in Waulkmill Grove had their fences vandalised and have had graffiti spray-painted on them.
“The cost of damage to the fences has yet to be established but the residents were understandably very upset on discovering the damage.
“We are following a positive line of inquiry but are appealing for anyone who saw anything to contact us.
“I am aware that a group of youths were in the area about 10.30 pm on Saturday night.
“If anyone witnessed the events, or otherwise has information about the incident, I would urge them to contact us.”
