A world-renowned DJ is heading to an Aberdeen nightclub next month.
Australian DJ Tom Loud will bring his Hot Dub Time Machine to Aberdeen on September 30.
The DJ set features a whirlwind trip through some of the best dance and party tracks from the last 50 years.
Each song is played in chronoligical order, with hits from ABBA, Michael Jackson, Fat Boy Slim and Lorde all mashed together
All the tracks are mixed live from vinyl turntables and includes an mix of visual and audio.
Tom came up with the show after a visit to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010.
Speaking to Humans of the Fringe, he said: “It came about in 2011.
“I kind of got this weird niche into comedy I used to DJ at comedy shows.
“I came over to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010 and saw how awesome it was and thought I want to be part of that and have a show, so I made a DJ Fringe show.
“There’s just so many people doing so much stuff. It’s such an inspiring place to be if you’re a creative person or even if you’re an entrepreneur.
“I just love the atmosphere – it makes you want to work harder.”
The DJ’s show in Aberdeen comes on the back of two sell out shows at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre.
Around 14,000 people packed out the venues as part of Hot Dub Time Machine’s Fringe appearance.
Writing on Instagram he said: “There is nothing in the world like the Edinburgh Fringe.
“Those were my new favourite shows ever.
“Thanks to everyone in Scotland who has supported me over the years, can’t wait to do it again next year.”
Tom will also be taking his Hot Dub show around the UK during September, including gigs in Manchester and Sheffield.
Unit 51’s general manager JP McGivney said: “Following his two sold out shows at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, we are delighted to welcome Hot Dub Time Machine to Aberdeen at Unit 51.
“It is sure to be an amazing audio/visual experience!
“We expect the show to sell out so we recommend getting them quick.”
