A leading graffiti artist is set to bring old trainers to life at a special shoe decoration event in Aberdeen.
Conzo Throb, one of Scotland’s leading graffiti artists, has teamed up with Union Square to decorate shoe lovers’ trainers with a hand-painted design of their choice.
The Glasgow-based doodler, graffiti artist and self-proclaimed “visual mischief co-ordinator” is known for his character-based doodles and satirical paintings.
Conzo, who takes inspiration from his Scottish roots, previously collaborated with Reebok, Foot Locker as well as a major Scottish music festival T in the Park.
With the artist’s incredible skills, your trainers will be in good hands.
Conzo said: “I am really excited to be heading to Union Square this weekend to customise trainers – it is something I have always enjoyed doing as the work is really varied depending on peoples’ requests.”
Lynne McInnes, marketing manager at Union Square, said: “Trainers are having a real fashion moment this season, so what better way to stand out from the crowd – embellishing yours with your very own design courtesy of Conzo Throb.
“Retailers throughout the centre will be offering some incredible discounts on white trainers, the perfect canvas for your bespoke design.”
The graffiti artist is set to come back to Aberdeen for the internationally renowned Nuart Festival when it returns to Aberdeen for its second year in April. Conzo Throb is excited to take part in the festival which he considers “a real testament to the up and coming street art scene within the city”.
