A new fitness group has been set up for NHS staff in Aberdeen.

NHS staff at the Foresterhill Health Campus, pictured, are being invited to join the new jogging club.

The group will meet for the first time next week and staff of all fitness levels are being urged to get involved.

They will meet at the East End Entrance of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary every Thursday at 4.15pm, with one session lasting approximately 45 minutes.

Stuart Robbie, an NHS Grampian staff member who helped organise the sessions, said all members of staff are welcome to come along and get involved.

He said: “The group is open to everyone with support offered at a wide variety of levels, ranging from complete beginners to long-distance runners.

“Each session will last 45 minutes and we should be finished by 5pm.

“If you are interested, then please feel free to come along but if you have any questions at all then just get in touch.”

Stuart also said if there is a demand for further sessions then the group would look to add further times in the future to accommodate a variety of shift patterns.
