PROPOSALS were today lodged to develop a new car park at an Aberdeen hospital.
NHS Grampian board members agreed to formally accept a funding offer of £10 million from oil tycoon Sir Ian Wood last month and create the 1000-space car park at Foresterhill.
The health board has now put forward a proposal of application notice for the car park, which could be built by the end of next year.
This notice must be submitted at least 12 weeks before submission of a full planning permission application.
An NHS Grampian spokesman today said full plans will be lodged soon.
He said: “We are pleased to get the planning process underway for this project and will be submitting a full planning application in due course.”
The car park is expected to have five or six floors and be situated on the existing car park site.
