Have you seen this missing 66-year-old believed to be trying to hitch hike in Aberdeenshire?

An appeal has been launched to find a missing man last seen in the North-east.

Michael Tregowyn was last seen in the Bridge of Marnoch area yesterday at around 1.25pm.

It was understood the 66-year-old was spotted walking towards Huntly on the A97, possibly trying to hitch-hike.

Police believe he was trying to travel in the direction of Warwickshire, where he lives.

Mr Tregowyn is aroudn 5ft 7in, with receding greying hair and a grey beard. He was last seen wearing a red cotton outer jacket, blue jeans and grey trainers.

He wears silver reading glasses and was wearing a white square-faced watch and carrying a rucksack.

Anyone with information on his current whereabouts, or if you saw a man matching his description after the time he was seen, gave him or a lift or saw him on public transport is asked to get in touch.
