A festival celebrating a town’s harbour is set to take place this weekend.
The Stonehaven Harbour Festival, which is this year running under the theme of “seaside holidays then and now” will take place on Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
With lifeboats, skiffs, bouncy castles, pipe band, raft races, stalls and a sandcastle competition, all proceeds raised at the event go towards Stonehaven Open Air Pool.
A spokeswoman for Stonehaven RNLI said: “Stonehaven RNLI are looking forward to seeing our supporters at this year’s Harbour Festival.
“We will have RNLI souvenirs on sale and kids games along the pier.
“The fundraising ladies will be serving strawberry teas in SCI building so be sure to pay them a visit.
“The RNLI crew will also be carrying out a demonstration in the harbour. Come along for a fun-filled day”
Roads along the Old Pier will be closed on August 26 and 27, and a prohibition of waiting will be in place on High Street at the junction with Keith Place.
