A school reunion which brought people together who had not seen each other for decades has been hailed a great success.
Grandmother-of-eight Sandra Paterson issued an appeal through the Evening Express for anyone who attended Bridge of Don school between 1958 and 1962 to get in touch.
And the 70-year-old, who now lives in Bucksburn, said the event at Aberdeen’s Station Hotel was a huge success with 22 people coming along – and one man attending despite having recently been in a car accident.
She said: “There was quite a few got in touch after seeing the article in the paper.
“Everybody who was at school with me, I recognised and some I hadn’t seen for 55 years.
“It was brilliant.
“We just had a good blether and a chat.
“Some of us were there for five hours. I had a sore throat from speaking so much.”
