It’s shaping up to be an a-maze-ing festive season in Aberdeen’s winter wonderland.
Two brand new additions to the city’s winter festival have been revealed.
A Christmas Tree Maze is being built in Union Terrace Gardens – and will open to the public tomorrow.
The maze, designed by entertainment firm Underbelly, involves an elf hunt.
And the Twelve Days of Christmas Wooden Carvings Trail, created by Garry Shand, is also being launched.
The wooden sculptures will be revealed on a phased basis starting from today.
Over the coming weeks a teaser campaign will encourage people to find the 12 sculptures across the city centre during the festive period.
Look out for a Partridge in a Pear tree today at the Castlegate.
Meanwhile, the Christmas tree switch-on was due to take place tonight.
Christmas trees will also brighten up Broad Street.
Leader of Aberdeen City Council Councillor Jenny Laing said: “It will definitely look like Christmas has arrived when the festivities get under way.”
