The funeral of a north-east teenager who died after falling ill in the street will take place on Thursday.
Zaine Grieve, 14, died earlier this month after being out with friends in Portlethen.
The service is to take place at Portlethen Parish Church at 1pm.
Zaine’s family have asked for anyone wishing to make donations in his memory to choose the British Heart Foundation.
The Portlethen Academy pupil leaves parents Ricky and Kelly and siblings.
Police said Zaine had taken ill and, despite the best efforts of the emergency services and people who had stopped to help him, he passed away at the scene, on Schoolhill Drive.
In the days after his death, friends and family left flowers and candles at the roadside.
In a statement, Zaine’s family said: “We have been left absolutely devastated by the death of Zaine who was a much-loved son and brother.
“Zaine was extremely popular and will be missed by all his family and many friends.
“We would like to thank the passersby who stopped and tried their best to save Zaine’s life, as well as the emergency services who attended.
“We would also like to thank everyone who has sent us messages of support.”
