With the north-east gripped by royal wedding fever, businesses across the region have got into the celebratory spirit.
Prince Harry will wed Megan Markle in the wedding of the year tomorrow, and shops in the region are looking to celebrate in style.
From wedding cake giveaways to special window displays, a number of businesses are marking the occasion in their own way.
IN Fraserburgh shops have been decked out to celebrate the big day.
And leading the charge is owner of furniture store Homestyle Brian Bruce.
He said: “We do a lot of wedding presents at Homestyle so it seemed to make sense to have a wee bit of fun and I decided to put up the display in the window letting people know that we have a wedding gift list service.
“A couple of other shops put up displays as well after that.”
Brian is also behind the Brighten Up the Broch campaign, which aims to improve Fraserburgh’s image.
He said: “It all started after the Fraserburgh v Rangers game in January.
“Every shop decorated their windows for that.
“I got the rest of the businesses in Fraserburgh involved in putting up displays and when it came to the royal wedding, they were very supportive of that as well.
“We have lovely people through here and it really is a nice town.
“By getting involved in things like this, it helps to give the place more colour.”
Also marking the royal wedding is Melissa McLean, owner of Blush Bridal, who said: “We have done a window display and we’re also doing a promotion where if you place an order for your wedding dress on the day of the royal wedding you will get 10% off it, as well as 15% off your tiara and a glass of prosecco.
“A lot of businesses in Fraserburgh have been getting into the royal wedding spirit which has been lovely.
“Girls seem to like the idea of buying their dress on the day of the wedding.
“I’m really looking forward to this weekend.”
And in Aberdeen, the Bon Accord Centre is holding a Royal Wedding Weekend today and tomorrow from noon to 4pm.
Members of the public have been invited to visit the “royal garden” in the lower atrium of the centre where a celebration of Harry and Meghan’s wedding will be taking place.
There will be a screening of the big day on Saturday as well as wedding-style advice, beauty demonstrations and food and drink samples.
