A former bank could be set for a new life as a cafe.

Plans have been submitted to Aberdeen City Council regarding the property at 1 Midstocket Road.

The site, on the corner of Midstocket Road and Beechgrove Terrace, used to be occupied by the Bank of Scotland.

Now proposals have been lodged to turn the vacant address into a cafe/restaurant.

The plans, which list Nicky Turnbull as the applicant, have received a number of letters of support as well as objections.

One comment from James Paton said: “A bistro of the type envisaged by the applicant would be a welcome addition to the area.”

Concerns were raised about parking.
