A former Aberdeen school building is set to go on the market after councillors voted 23 to 21 in favour of the move.
Work has been ongoing by Torry Development Trust to develop proposals which would see the former Victoria Road School buildings transformed.
Back in December councillors had been urged to approve plans to see the buildings flattened but this was put on hold after an outcry by campaigners who wanted time to develop their proposals.
Councillors voted 23 to 21 to openly market the site with the aspiration that proposals would seek to retain as much of the buildings on the site as possible.
The outcome of the marketing exercise will be brought back to councillors in September.
