An event is to take place next week in a north-east town to give the community a chance to meet the team behind a flood protection scheme.
McLaughlin and Harvey Ltd will carry out the work on the Stonehaven project on behalf of Aberdeenshire Council following a competitive tender process.
Work has already begun on the £16 million scheme.
Stonehaven was hit by devastating floods in 2009 and in 2012 when the River Carron burst its banks.

Homes and businesses were badly affected and Aberdeenshire Council has since been looking at ways to offer protection to buildings near the river.
A dedicated community liaison officer has been appointed as part of the contractor’s team.
An informal open day will take place on Wednesday at Stonehaven Bowling Club, Stonehaven Recreation Grounds. It will run from noon until 9pm and members of the public are welcome.
