A fitness and massage studio will move to new premises after change-of-use proposals were given the green light by the local authority.
A planning application had been submitted to Aberdeenshire Council seeking to change the use of 42 Market Street in Ellon from office space to a fitness studio and for sports therapy.
Now the council has given the change of use the go-ahead.
Planning documents submitted with the original application stated: “Studio 34 currently operate from 34 Market Street, Ellon, and under the current proposals they are aiming to relocate the business to the 2nd storey of 42 Market Street, Ellon.”

Studio 34 offers services including one-on-one fitness training, Swedish massage therapy and remedial sports massages.
These would be transferred to the new site, which is vacant offices.
The council’s decision notice stated the planning application was in line with all the necessary policies and the Aberdeenshire local development plan.
It added: “The change of use is considered acceptable, providing improved facilities for an existing business within Ellon town centre.”
