Firefighters called to small blaze in Aberdeen woods

Firefighters were called to a small blaze in Aberdeen.

One appliance was sent by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to the scene at the woods by Sheddocksley, near the Lang Stracht.

The incident occurred just after 4pm yesterday, and was not serious.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were called to a fire in the open just off Lang Stracht.

“It was at the woods at Sheddocksley and we were called at 4.05pm.

“There was a couple of small fires on the scene, which were put out.

“No specific equipment was used by firefighters.”

The fires were extinguished by 4.25pm.
