Emergency services battled a blaze for around four hours after a car set fire to gorse in the North-east.
The incident happened just after 9pm yesterday on cliffs close to Banff.
Residents reported smoke rising into the sky on an area of land between Portsoy and Sandend.
It happened after a car went on fire spreading to the nearby area.
One Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliance from Portsoy and another from Cullen were called to the incident with a forestry unit from Elgin before the blaze was put out just after 2am this morning.
The beauty spot is commonly used by nesting birds.
