
Emergency services were called to a fire at a primary school this afternoon.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to Gordon Primary School in Huntly today at 2.57pm.
Two appliances were sent to the scene, one from Huntly and another from nearby Keith fire station.
Around 10 firefighters were at the school, using a hose reel jet and other small tools to put out the blaze.
It is not clear where or how the fire started.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “We were called to a fire within the property at 2.57pm, two appliances were sent to the scene and the fire was extinguished by 3.42pm.”
Police were notified by the fire service and attended to assist.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We were notified of the fire just after 3pm, and attended to assist firefighters.”
