A FINAL decision on whether to go ahead with a £320 million expansion of Aberdeen Harbour will be made around August.
A series of applications have been lodged as part of the proposed project to expand the Aberdeen port by building on land at the Bay of Nigg in Torry.
Aberdeen Harbour Board (AHB) has said it will make a final decision on the project in August, subject to the result of the consenting process.
AHB, in a statement provided to Torry Community Council, said: “Subject to the result of the consenting process and a final appraisal of the business case, Aberdeen Harbour Board will make a final decision regarding the go ahead of the expansion project circa August this year.
“If the project goes ahead then work would commence early 2017, with the first operational quay available 2019 and project completion in anticipated 2020.”
