A final call is being made for entries for a rural race in the north-east.
Last minute participants for the Broch, Rosehearty, Gamrie (BRG) Coastal Challenge are being urged to sign up for the 17.5-mile challenge.
The route is one of the toughest yet most scenic in north-east, starting in Fraserburgh and finishing at Bracoden School, Gamrie.
This year’s event takes place next Saturday with more than 300 people set to take part.
Councillor Anne Stirling, Aberdeenshire Council’s communities committee chairwoman, said: “I would urge anyone who is undecided about whether or not to take part in this fantastic challenge to grasp the nettle and go for it.
“Participants will get a wonderful sense of personal achievement completing this challenge and it could encourage some people to surprise themselves by taking up more regular exercise.”
