A north-east MSP has welcomed the addition of 15 new homes in a north-east town.
Minister for Local Government Kevin Stewart officially opened the Langstane Housing Association development at Peterhead Harbour.
The grade-three listed building houses the 15 one-bedroom social rented apartments and falls within the Peterhead central regeneration and conservation areas.
The design and construction teams created the properties to be well-insulated, affordable and low maintenance.
Funding for the development was provided by the Scottish Government, Aberdeenshire Council and Historic Environment Scotland.
Mr Stewart said: “I am hugely impressed with Langstane’s commitment to create hundreds of new social homes over the coming years and I would urge you to drive forward with those plans and continue to make such a valuable contribution to our communities.”
Chief executive of Langstane Helen Gauld said: “The build has provided good quality housing that has met the needs of people in Peterhead.”
