Aberdeen is set for its first major festival celebrating gin.
The event this summer will include a wide variety of gins from Scotland, the UK and abroad.
More than 70% of the UK’s gin producers are based in Scotland and visitors to Aberdeen Gin Fest will be able to sample up to 30 different varieties, while enjoying live music and food.
A programme of demonstrations by individual producers will allow enthusiasts to learn more and appreciate specific brands.
The organiser of Aberdeen Gin Fest is Langstane Liquor Company, the city-based company behind Porter’s Gin.
Its managing director, North-east food and drink entrepreneur of the year Ben Iravani, has two award-winning cocktail venues in the city.
Mr Iravani said: “We are really excited to be launching the first Aberdeen Gin Fest and to be bringing such a wide selection of great gins to this area.”
Aberdeen Gin Fest will take place at The Lemon Tree in West North Street on July 7 and 8.
